We would like to welcome you to visit the British Art Fair where Messums London has been invited to take a stand presenting Modern British Art on the ground floor of the Saatchi Gallery. The works we will have on show range across the Modern British genre from textile to ceramic and are from both our London and Wiltshire galleries.
Included on our stand is a significant painting by Henry Lamb which will star in our upcoming exhibition of drawings from 1914 – 1919. Additionally there will be works by John Walker, Elisabeth Frink, Roger Fry and Vanessa Bell and an important triptych by Sir Robin Philipson (detail above). We will also be exhibiting a collection of Camden Town Group paintings including works by Walter Sickert, Harold Gilman, Spencer Gore, Charles Ginner, Lucien Pissarro and Robert Polhill Bevan.
The British Art Fair was founded in 1988 to showcase British art. After moving to a new location last year, it now takes place in the Saatchi Gallery – whose magnificent museum quality galleries are a perfect backdrop for a showcase of the best of British Art.
