Tuesday 15 October 18:30 – 20:30 £15
Our Tuesday talks and tapas are an opportunity to delve into a theme that springs from the artists on show at the time. From the 8th of October we are excited to have the drawings of Brian Taylor and Henry Lamb in the gallery and therefore our evening of food and champagne will be accompanied by a discussion of this medium. Drawing is often the first artistic skill to be acquired when every young child begins to experiment with the world with a pencil or crayon in hand. Within, and beyond, the canon of art history, as far back as the medieval period or even back to our Neolithic ancestors, art begins with a sketch, whether on a cave wall, animal hide or parchment. Join us on October 15th for a discussion of this raw and fundamental medium in relation to both of these prodigious artists.
