Etching on Alder leaves
H45 x W47cm

“The alder lives in wet places and beside water which can make it difficult to gather the leaves. It is easily recognised by the cone shape winged nutlets that dangle beneath the branches.”

The Tree Portraits are sealed between two sheets of glass and framed in  handmade oak box frames.  This allows light through the leaf paper to enhance the translucency of the leaves and the tree appears to float within its frame.
