Bridget’s life has taken her on an extensive journey of discovery. From early years in London and Malta, Gozo and then Middle East as the wife of a British Naval Officer, she has a thirst for exploration that is undiminished.
Now aged 81, movement continues to influence her work. The language is pared back, deceptively simple marks and gestures in charcoal or stone that are immediately and powerfully suggestive. A bird leaps off the page or takes flight bringing with it a sense of the vitality and also of moments long past.
