COMMENTS

“Situated by the western ledge of the Cathedrals of Tara in north-eastern Chile is the magnificent, wind-eroded “Castillo” de Tara, at an altitude of 4,500 metres.
Known as ignimbrites, these stone sentinels standing guard over the high plateau were once clouds of ash and silica. In the background is Chita Lagoon, and further beyond lies the Aguas Calientes (Hot Waters) mountain range, with the peak of Pili Volcano looming on the horizon.”
