Tilmouth studied at Hornsey College of Art (where David Tindle was a tutor) and the Byam Shaw Schools in London in the 1970s. Her work is grounded in careful observation and a careful delicacy of technique. As Tilmouth herself points out, her art ‘is an interpretive response to the natural world.’
