Ink and woven maps pushed into a bowl and set within the earth fingerprint.

This is another work from the Exchange Project, focused on Huish Farm, Sydling St Nicholas. The fingerprint is from the farmer John Morris and is drawn in earth from the farm. The woven maps are from Europe and the Ordinance survey map of the farm. They are superimposed in Photoshop, printed out twice then cut into strips and woven together. The resulting woven map is then pushed into a bowl shape and set within the fingerprint. The title of the piece comes from John Stewart Collis book about his experience working on a farm during the second world war.
